why biodiversity?

Sometimes I get asked why I care so much about biodiversity. Other than feeling emotionally and spiritually connected to nature there are other more pragmatic reasons I care and share my photos of wild things and places: To help inspire others to take care of and grow to love nature and the principles of ecology. We derive services from the ecosystems that surround us and those services are created by the interactions of the biodiversity of those ecosystems.
