The monsoon rains have caused flooding in the Cabeza Prieta NWR. This means we have to do a bit of cleanup and check wildlife drinkers that are located in remote areas of the refuge. This means a lot of hand work with shovels and a lot of hiking. Those two things mean we get to see some pretty cool critters, including plants that have responded to the recent rains and scorpions that have taken refuge in debris piled up in the washes.
